NFL Sunday Recap & Broncos Monday Morning Breakdown
Monday Sep 10, 2018
Monday Sep 10, 2018
NFL Week 1 is almost in the books. The Thursday Night Season opener between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, may have been the only game that had defense. Ryan Fitzpatrick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was the most electric QB during the day on Sunday, throwing for over 400 yards and 4 touchdowns destroying the Saints defense. Aaron Rodgers suffered what looked like a season ending Knee injury, and then returned in the second half to lead the Green Bay Packers to a win over the Chicago Bears who had a 20-0 lead. Khalil Mack looked great in Chicago. Brandon Perna and Will Keys recap the games from Sunday including the 21-21 tie between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns.
In the second half of the podcast, That's Good Sports, jumps into the Broncos vs Seahawks game. We discuss Von Miller and his 3 sacks, the 6 total from the defense, the improved play from the Broncos offensive line, Quarterback Case Keenum's 3 interceptions, the brilliant play of rookie running backs Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, Emmanuel Sanders electric play, and Russell Wilson's inability to make his magic sack escapes not work. Even Demaryius Thomas cam up huge with a tremendous game winning touchdown catch in the 4th quarter.

Weekly NFL & Denver Broncos Podcast, That’s Good Sports, brings you some breaking Colin Kaepernick news with his collusion case, previews the Denver Broncos & Arizona Cardinals final preseason game, & gets to the Teddy Bridgewater trade to New Orleans Saints News. Hosted by Will Keys & Brandon Perna.
Colin Kaepernick’s collusion case against the NFL will go to trial, unless the NFL settles. The former 49ers quarterback argues that owners have colluded to keep him off any NFL roster because of his National Anthem Protests. Former Browns left tackle Joe Thomas shared a very funny story on his Thomahawk podcast. Listen Here: https://soundcloud.com/user-545929991
He didn’t mention him by name, but he’s talking about Peyton Manning trying to recruit him to the Denver Broncos, and what Joe should do to force the Browns to trade him. Chad Swag Kelly watch will continue tonight as the Broncos face the Arizona Cardinals in week 4 of the NFL preseason. Brandon Perna and Will Keys discuss which position spots they will be evaluating as all NFL teams have to trim their rosters down to 53 men this week.
Jalen Ramsey’s ESPN article with Mina Kimes is a great read. Aaron Rodgers, Odell Beckham Jr. and probably Aaron Donald all received new giant contracts. Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers became the richest player in NFL history. New York Giants WR OBJ became the highest paid wide receiver, and the Los Angeles Rams freed up 7 million in cap space to sign DPOY Donald to a new contract. Meanwhile the Oakland Raiders have made zero progress with their best defensive player Khalil Mack. The New York Jets traded QB Teddy Bridgewater to the Saints for a 3rd round Draft Pick.

Denver Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen has been selected as a finilast as a contributor for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This means there is a 99.9% chance he'll be selected February 2nd to be in the Hall. Brandon Perna and Will Keys of the That's Good Sports Podcast preview the Denver Broncos vs Washington Redskins Week 3 NFL preseason game. Adrian Peterson, newly acquired running back for the skins will play Friday Night, as all other running backs in washington are injured or dead.
The Broncos do get cornerback Chris Harris Jr. back from an oblique injury, as well as wide receiver Demaryius Thomas from a wrist injury. Shaq Barrett returns to the edge rushing rotation, but offseason free agent safety Su’a Cravens is still out with a knee injury. He has seen zero reps this preseason, which may make it hard for the Broncos to keep him on the roster. Tackle Menelik Watson was moved to IR with the plans to release him once healthy, which means the Broncos wasted a lot of money on him. Paxton Lynch may not play at all this weekend in D.C. as Chad Kelly will get most of not all of the second half reps. Former Colorado State RB Kapri Bibbs is fighting for a roster spot behind Adrian Peterson. Alex Smith has only taken 6 snaps this preseason, so look for Jay Gruden to leave him in the game long enough to try and build chemistry with Paul Richardson, old San Francisco 49ers teammate Vernon Davis, Jamison Crowder, and whoever else catches balls in Washington. Samaje Perine, Byron Marshall and Derrius Guice, all injured in the first two weeks of the NFL Preseason for Washington.

That’s Good Sports Podcast Hosted by Brandon Perna & Will Keys
Denver Broncos News will include the demotion of Paxton Lynch, what the Broncos should do with him, the rise of Machine Gun Swag Kelly (Chad Kelly) and what we expect to see from the Broncos this weekend against the Chicago Bears. There are quite a few injuries piling up for the Broncos on defense. INJURIES: Su’a Cravens Knee, Safety Dymonte Thomas Hamstring, Shaq Barrett Hamstring, CB Michael Hunter, Chris Harris Oblique, Troy Fumagalli, Paxton Lynch bruised Ego.
The main thing is the first team offense lead by Case Keenum needs to look better, and every part of the first team defense needs to improve after getting gashed by the Minnesota Vikings.
The NFL News will be an evaluation of some of the rookie performances from this last week. Jalen Ramsey says all of these quarterbacks suck. Joe Flacco, Josh Allen, & Matt Ryan, and he plays Kirk Cousins this week who oddly enough is a winner in Ramsey’s eyes. Full rundown below.

NFL Preseason really starts today! Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas revealed he’s been dealing with a severe hip injury that nearly forced him to retire. He says he hadn’t been healthy for 2 full seasons, but changed his diet and workout routines that have helped reduce inflammation in his body, and has him feeling like he wants to play in the NFL for 15-16 years. The Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings will play in their first preseason games Saturday August 11th. Most of the NFL will play tonight, August 9th. Broncos haed coach Vance Joseph stated the starters will play two series, and that includes star Von Miller & Quarterback Case Keenum. Not sure how long Viking’s QB Kirk Cousins will play, but the Trevor Siemian vs Paxton Lynch & Kyle Sloter vs Chad Kelly will be very fun to watch for #BroncosCountry.
The Los Angeles Rams defensive star Aaron Donald is still holding out for a new contract and hasn’t come to training camp. A theme in California as Khalil Mack has yet to show up for Oakland Raiders Camp, which has sparked trade rumors for the outside linebacker. Former Bills lineman Richie Incognito called Vikings HC Mike Zimmer a F***ing Liar, which is nothing compared to the quotes Saints running back Alvin Kamara gave to Bleacher Report. We’ll also discuss episode one of HBO’s Hard Knocks and how the Cleveland Browns coach Hugh Jackson dealt with the death of his mother and brother in a two week timespan. That’s Good Sports Podcast EP 10.

Thursday Aug 02, 2018
Thursday Aug 02, 2018
Eric Decker signed a one year deal with the New England Patriots. That’s Good Sports discusses that, plus all Denver Broncos and Case Keenum related training camp news, in addition to the Hall of Fame Induction and the preseason opener between the Bears & Ravens.
Eric Decker Betrays Denver & The Hall of Fame Game Starts NFL Preseason.
The PRE-NFL season will officially be underway tonight as the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens play in the annual Hall of Fame game, the first preseason game every year. We’re excited to watch Lamar Jackson play. After Jordan Matthews suffered a significant hamstring injury in Patriots training camp the team released the wide receiver and signed veteran Eric Decker to a one year deal. Decker, aka BigDickDecker, a name given to him by Brandon Perna on That’s Good Broncos, betrayed not only the city of Denver, but Brandon by signing with Tom Brady and the New Englanders. Broncos fans should still be excited by how well Keenum has been throwing the ball in camp, and the hype around rookie wide receiver Courtland Sutton.

Case Keenum is A Tier 3 QB? Bulls***
Thursday Jul 26, 2018
Thursday Jul 26, 2018
Mike Sando talked with an anonymous offensive coach who knocked Keenum's Tier 3 classification, tied for 23rd overall. The Denver Broncos starting QB, who played like a top 10 quarterback in 2017 for the Minnesota Vikings, was shat on, by an "anonymous" coach, probably Jeff Fisher the QB killer. Here at That's Good Sports we're not even sure what the heck this Tier System really means, but like the Broncos we are optimistic that Keenum is better than the 23rd best Qb in the NFL. We also discuss what Carlos Henderson's absence from training camp means for his future. Why Jon Gruden hasn't spoken to his best player in Khalil Mack once this entire offseason, and we're hoping Mack leaves the Raiders very soon as he is not reporting to training camp. San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo went on a date with porn star Kiara Mia, Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley got paid 45 million guaranteed in a contract extension, and the New York Jets are fielding trade offers for backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Which NFL team could most use Teddy this season. Hint: all of the teams in Florida.

Broncos Madden 19 Ratings & That Racist Papa John
Thursday Jul 12, 2018
Thursday Jul 12, 2018
The Madden 19 Ratings came out earlier this week for all NFL players. Brandon Perna and Will Keys discuss the accuracy of the value for some of the Broncos players, and determine if John Madden, who selects each ranking himself, is accurate or not. We also discuss the Broncos Stadium at Mile High sign, and how smart Andrew Mason is, especially when he gets into twitter debates with writers for the Kansas City Chiefs. In terms of National Football League news we ask why Papa John wants to be able to say the N word like Colonel Sanders, Eli Manning of the New York Giants and his fascination with Saquon Barkley's legs, the Arizona Cardinals PR problems with GM Steve Keim's DUI arrest, and the hypocricacy of owner Michael Bidwell endorsing as Supreme Court nomination on ArizonaCardinals.com, and briefly touch on the LeSean McCoy of the the Buffalo Bills domestic violence situation.
