That’s Good Sports Podcast EP 46. Hosted by Will Keys and Brandon Perna discuss what the hell the New York Jets are doing.
The New York Jets have Fired GM Mike Maccagnan and have named Adam Gase as the Interim GM. Why would you fire your GM post Free Agency and Draft? The Answer may be Le’Veon Bell and the coach Maccagnan hired in Adam Gase. Also according to Adam Schefter NFL Network Analyst Daniel Jeremiah is under serious consideration to become next Jets GM as is Eagles VP of player personnel Joe Douglas. In less than 10 hours of being GM Adam Gase traded linebacker Darron Lee to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2020 6th round draft pick.
The New England Patriots signed former Cleveland Browns and former Patriot Jamie Collins again. Now that’s he’s been paid, New England will accept his services for less than market value. Denver Broncos News. Joe Flacco is not a teacher. Joe Flacco is not supposed to mentor rookie Quarterback Drew Lock. Offensive Lineman Nico Falah tore his Achilles in mini camp. Bryce Callahan has been practicing playing outside corner. (broncos preparing for life without Chris Harris) Or life with Harris dominating the Slot in 2019?

NFL Free Agency: The Frenzy is Coming
Thursday Mar 07, 2019
Thursday Mar 07, 2019
NFL Free Agency: The Frenzy is Coming That's Good Sports Podcast Episode 42. Brandon Perna and Will Keys discuss some of what might happen as NFL Free Agency approaches next week. This includes Josh Rosen, Antonio Brown, Kyler Murray, and anything teh Arizona Cardinals may do to screw everything up.
New Broncos head coach Vic Fangio really makes this NFL free agency a mystery for the Denver Broncos. He could bring in any number of Chicago bears defenders to play for him, including cornerback Bryce Callahan or safety Adrian Amos. Corner is a priority for Denver unless they draft one with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Linebacker Brandon Marshall will test free agency, Shelby Harris will probably get tendered in hopes of working out a long term deal with the defensive lineman.. Domata Peko, and outside linebackers Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett will also most likely not be in Denver next football season.
WHERE DO YOU WANT THE FOLLOWING FREE AGENTS TO END UP
- Le’Veon Bell
- Teddy Bridgewater
- Landon Collins
- Trey Flowers
- Earl Thomas
- Tyrann Mathieu
- Anthony Barr
- CJ Mosley
- Tevin Coleman
- Ndamukong Suh

Super Bowl Hangover
Tuesday Feb 05, 2019
Tuesday Feb 05, 2019
That's Good Sports Podcast EP 41. A Super Bowl Hangover. Brandon Perna and Will Keys discuss what went wrong for the Rams, if anyone should know it's us. The Denver Broncos saw cornerback Champ Bailer and owner Pat Bowlen get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tony Gonzales angered Kansas City Chiefs fans because he called the Atlanta Falcons a winning organization. Rams vs. Patriots: A Super Bowl From Hell. The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl 53. Sony Michel was the only player to score a touchdown, wide receiver Julian Edelman won SBLIII MVP, and Bill Belichick & Tom Brady got their 6th Championship win.
Los Angeles Rams QB coach Zac Taylor hired as head coach by the Cincinnati Bengals. New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores hired as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
Jared Goff looked confused trying to run Sean McVay’s offense. Running Backs C.J. Anderson and Todd Gurley couldn’t get anything going against the Patriots defense, and WR Brandin Cooks dropped two difficult passes in the endzone that could have won the Rams the game. Unless Tom Brady goes Liam Neeson during an interview his legacy in the NFL seems perfect. So perfect that Brady and Robert Kraft may have engaged in an open mouth kiss after the game. Tight End Rob Gronkowski made a key catch in the 4th quarter to help the Patriots score the only TD of the game. The stars may have been the kickers. Stephen Gostkowski missed a field goal early after Jim Nantz cursed him. Johnny Hekker set the record for longest punt in a Super Bowl. Greg Zuerlein nailed a 53 yard field goal, and Ryan Allen was perfect. Even Tony Romo seemed board broadcasting this game for CBS. Aaron Donald hit Tom Brady and threw him to the ground once, that was fun. That’s Good Sports recaps the game. #SuperBowl #Patriots #Rams Cornerback Stephon Gilmore on defense maybe should have won the MVP award with his 4th quarter interception of QB Jared Goff. The halftime show with Maroon 5 may have been the best part of the game.

Foles of Flacco? Patriots & Rams & Pass Interference
Thursday Jan 24, 2019
Thursday Jan 24, 2019
In ThatsGoodSports podcast episode 39 Brandon Perna and Will Keys discuss John Elway's comments about Tom Brady and the NFL pass interference rule. The Denver Broncos may be interested in pursuing veteran quarterbacks Joe Flacco or Nick Foles once free agency starts in March. It really depends of Elway and the new coaching staff believes their next quarterback is in the 2019 Draft. The Broncos true future QB may only be in 8th grade. 8th grade QB Arch Manning offered by Tennessee.
Rams/Patriots advance to Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta. Tom Brady vs Jared Goff. Bill Belichick vs Sean McVay. We discuss in a very intelligent and unbiased manner, why Tom Brady is overrated and the luckiest player alive.
Saints & Chiefs Screwed by Officials in NFC & AFC Championship Game. The Los Angeles Rams should have been flagged for pass interference or even a helmet to helmet hit in the 4th quarter when Nickell Robey-Coleman hits saints wide receiver Tommylee Lewis before the ball arrived in the NFC Championship game. The Rams won and will go to Super Bowl 53. The Kansas City Chiefs were also affected by a bad call from NFL officials when Tom Brady received a roughing the passer call from defensive lineman Chris Jones who hit Brady’s shoulder.

Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints
After firing Vance Joseph two weeks ago the Denver Broncos head coaching search ended with Vic Fangio earning the job after 40 years of coaching linebackers and defenses in the NFL. Former head coach and Super Bowl 50 winner Gary Kubiak will have some sort of lead offense role. He has not yet been named offensive coordinator, but that will be his role on some level. The early rumor is that Ed Donatell will be Fangio’s choice as defensive coordinator. The Chicago Bears defense was #1 in the league this football season allowing the fewest points per game and ammassing 27 interceptions. Guys like Von Miller & Bradley Chubb should be primed for big seasons, and maybe Quarterback Case Keenum can play better with Kubiak calling the plays. Chuck Pagano, Mike Munchak, Brian FLores, and Zac Taylor were all considered for the job. The Arizona Cardinals have hired Kliff Kingsbury as their head coach. The Cleveland Browns remained in house and promoted OC Freddie Kitchens, and the Green Bay Packers have hired former Tennessee Titans OC Matt LaFleur to lead Aaron Rodgers out of the pit of misery.
