Denver Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen has been selected as a finilast as a contributor for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This means there is a 99.9% chance he'll be selected February 2nd to be in the Hall. The Broncos do get cornerback Chris Harris Jr. back from an oblique injury, as well as wide receiver Demaryius Thomas from a wrist injury. Shaq Barrett returns to the edge rushing rotation, but offseason free agent safety Su’a Cravens is still out with a knee injury. He has seen zero reps this preseason, which may make it hard for the Broncos to keep him on the roster. Tackle Menelik Watson was moved to IR with the plans to release him once healthy, which means the Broncos wasted a lot of money on him. Paxton Lynch may not play at all this weekend in D.C. as Chad Kelly will get most of not all of the second half reps. Former Colorado State RB Kapri Bibbs is fighting for a roster spot behind Adrian Peterson. Alex Smith has only taken 6 snaps this preseason, so look for Jay Gruden to leave him in the game long enough to try and build chemistry with Paul Richardson, old San Francisco 49ers teammate Vernon Davis, Jamison Crowder, and whoever else catches balls in Washington. Samaje Perine, Byron Marshall and Derrius Guice, all injured in the first two weeks of the NFL Preseason for Washington.
